Abstract Gallery

Some of these images are truly "abstract" meaning that they may not be immediately recognizable. And some are what one colleague deemed "semi-abstract" in which case perhaps the image recognizable but out of context, giving the object or scene a different look than you might be familiar with.

When approaching the creation of such photographs, my goal is often to reveal something about an object or place that is unusual, or perhaps a way of looking at it that wouldn't be immediately obvious even if you were standing in the same place. Often, it simply amounts to the light being compelling; calling out to be photographed!
